Luxury five star hotel in the heart of Edinburgh, built in the striking former headquarters of the The Scotsman newspaper. Grand rooms with excellent views - many of Edinburgh Castle. Fantastic food in the brasserie. All the main tourist attractions are walkable. Staff friendly and not overly formal. An excellent choice if you can afford it!

"The hotel itself is lovely but I was a little disappointed with the the way we were dealt with. Staff seemed disaffected and rushed and several spoke so little English it was nigh on impossible to communicate with them. Must try harder."
