A strange pub torn between new and old located in a strange little village.
The new comes in the form of faux-gastro food offerings, while the old is in the décor, which is badly in need of a fresh lick of paint and a bit of modernisation.
The beer is kept quite well, although there is a limited selection on offer.
There is a distinct ‘local pub for local people’ feel to the place, although, once acknowledged, strangers are served with a smile.
Okay for a pint and sandwich, but not worth travelling out of your way for.

"We dropped in for a pint one weekday lunchtime and the place was deserted. We were given an indifferent welcome despite being the only customers. This was our second visit in a year and nothing seems to have changed - still looks and feels rough and ready and in need of some TLC or else it will soon join the throngs of pubs that are closing up and down the country."

"This pub has now been taken over and that lick off paint has now happened, and the new owners have changed the whole menu and is well worth the drive. One off the best Sunday carvery ever."
