As chain pubs go, O'Neill's in Reading could be a lot worse.
This branch, as with the others, is loud, busy and does exactly what it says on the tin.
You can go there for a reasonably priced drink in a friendly atmosphere surrounded by a mixed crowd taken from all ages that is generally respectable.
The venue is fairly large and has plenty of nooks and crannies, together with some comfortable boothed seating, to lose yourself in.
It was also refreshing to see a large number of bar staff working on the night of our visit, meaning the service was quick and efficient.
