Much the same as its previous incarnation as Santa Fe, Bar Ha Ha is a pleasant enough place to go for a drink and some outside seating.

Designed more for the food trade, with limited bar seating, Bar Ha Ha serves up slightly cool on a budget.

Glossy displays of bottles behind the bar, low lighting, and comfortable seats make this a place to unwind from the hell of shopping in the Oracle and enjoy slightly better than average pub grub and reasonably priced drinks.

The food is of a decent standard, if a little over priced for what it is.

A perfectly acceptable choice if you’re in the Oracle area, but, as with so many bars in Reading, has a pre-packed pub-ness about it.

"I totally agree with the comments from Alex - the service in this place is terrible and you can spend half your time waiting to get served. It's not that the bar staff are lazy, on the contrary, they were working their nuts off but there were too few of them. Shame because this is a nice place to go for lunch and they do a great burger and chips! Come on guys, bite the bullet and employ more staff so you don't end up with a room full of annoyed customers, or worse, people who walk out because they're bored of waiting."

"We went to Ha Ha on Friday night and found the service to be appalling. They seemed to have one young bloke behind the bar trying to make cocktails (or tipping things into a glass anyway) who didn't know what he was doing. We waited for nearly ten minutes watching this painful exhibition before walking out. It's fine if you're going to serve cocktails but make sure you have staff who know what they're doing and others who can serve people who just want normal drinks."

"Good atmosphere and fiendly staff. Provided a welcome relief from shopping! Shame there wasn't more outdoor seating."
