This is a very small branch of the coffee chain, but what it lacks in size it makes up for in friendliness.
Because of the intimacy of the seating you’ll more often then not strike up a conversation with a fellow customer or find yourself involved in a lively conversation about football or politics.
This branch as an extremely cosmopolitan feel to it and at times you could almost believe you are in a coffee shop on the continent.
The coffee is the usual Costa affair - nothing great but passable - and the usual additions such as brownies and cake are served by friendly and efficient staff.
Because of its location, this branch is also great for people watching, especially if you get a stool facing out on to the junction of Broad Street and King Street.
At the time of writing a small cappuccino was priced at £2 and most normal coffee drinkers will find this plenty and have no need to order a regular, which is huge.
